This way of working means our organisation doesn’t have to rely on fundraising donations, although we do work with funding partners to deliver some of our projects, and we generate the remainder of our income by trading (e.g. the rents we receive from tenants in our buildings; delivering contracts for the council).
Thank you for the ongoing support of some of our key and longstanding supporters.
We value and appreciate all partnerships and funding opportunities. We welcome and work alongside partners from local, regional and national bodies with a shared passion for regeneration, community action and wellbeing.
If you’d like to work with Halifax Opportunities Trust to deliver projects, please get in touch.
Local businesses and organisations are an important part of our community and we love working alongside companies of all sizes, in a range of specialisms, to collaborate and connect, while ensuring the Trust continues to create opportunities for local people.
If you have ESG goals you’d like to reach through local, community-focussed and environmentally conscious activities, we’d like to work with you. Whatever your focus, we’re sure there’s an opportunity that meets your aims and makes lives better for the people of Calderdale.

One of our key ambitions is to be more visible in the community by hosting and attending more local events, throughout Calderdale, so we can build awareness and reach more people. While we have a pro-active workforce of employees and volunteers, we have limited resources to plan and deliver impactful events on a large scale. Your business could put its name to one of these events by being a sponsorship partner.
Sponsoring an event can be enjoyable and is an effective way to increase brand awareness and be associated with a charity that has made around 50,000 people’s lives better.

Over the past 21 years, we’ve grown from a charity operating from a single site to leading community programmes and activities from eight venues throughout Calderdale. Having such a portfolio across a range of places, means we have physical presence and space for place-based advertising. If you’re a local business in Park ward, Boothtown, Siddal or Todmorden, why not advertise at one of our sites (link to places page) and associate your name with one of Calderdale’s longest running community charities.
There are also opportunities to advertise your business at one of our events (usually held at Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre, The Outback or Hanson Lane Enterprise Centre) as a charity partner. Having your name associated to HOT can expose your businesses to around 1,700 people each day.

In Park ward alone, we deliver community-focused activities and facilitate enterprise support from six sites. These include:
You can sponsor some of our sites with an annual donation to support the activities that take place within and their general maintenance, so we can continue to focus on what matters – local people, families and the communities they are a part of. In return, you’ll get a VIP invites to all our events, a special mention on this page and our places pages, as well as your company’s name signposted at the entrance.
